Content guidelines updates
New and updated date and time guidelines
Date formats in the product for flights, hotels, and cars on all platforms are currently inconsistent. We have numerical formats, random commas, misspelt abbreviations and incorrect spacing.
We've spent some time updating our content guidelines to provide a clear solution for every scenario. This should assist with writing dates in both microcopy and longer-form copy, helping you to craft clear, consistent, and understandable dates. It's going to require some effort to achieve consistency across the board, but this is our new standard!
Surface low Contrast
A new colour has been added to the design system: surface low contrast. This has been added so we can sit light grey cards on a white background. It’s particularly useful inside of bottom sheets or modals that contain cards.
Components
Price component with icon
Our price component has been upgraded to include an optional icon to represent leaving the site.

Segmented control for compose
We’ve added segmented control for compose – SwiftUI is due to start in Q1, which would complete the set across all platforms.

A new style for switch is on the way so we can use this within our Search Controls.
