Backpack is built and owned by all of us at Skyscanner. We rely on our product teams’ contributions to improve and evolve our design system to facilitate quicker, scalable design.
If you have a new idea, or if you’re working on a feature that calls for a change to Backpack, get in touch — we’re here to help make it happen.

Getting set up
Before you can contribute to Backpack you'll have to go through a few one-off steps to make the experience better for everybody involved:
- Create a github.com account - if you don't have one already
- Clone the repository of choice (see below)
When using ssh you may want to either copy your existing ssh key to the github.com account or set up a new one and update your ~/.ssh/config file to contain it.
After these steps, you should be able to contribute to all Backpack projects 🎉
Before contributing be sure to check the contributing guidelines of the project:

- backpack-foundations (tokens, SVGs)
